DESCRIPTION:During these sessions\, participants will work on basic classifying money skills with a small group of peers. They will be classifying different coins and bills and identifying the value of each one. Once these skills are learned\, through active involvement\, participants will begin to use their phone or calculator to add and subtract currency amounts. This will help them develop the ability to discern the appropriate currency required for purchases and verify that they give and receive accurate change. By mastering these monetary abilities\, participants will enhance their independence in the community when exchanging money.

They will review the recipe before starting the cooking process\, gather and measure ingredients\, follow recipe steps\, review and use safe raw meat handling skills\, and clean up directions. Participants will get to taste their finished product and take home a copy of the step-by-step recipe\, which includes clean-up directions. This will enable the individual to be better equipped to independently handle raw meat safely\, use their measuring skills\, and oven to make a snack or meal.
