In this training\, participants will learn how to format their goals as SMART goals\, which will help them learn to break down goals into steps they can achieve. We’ll work on different examples from within workspaces\, in social settings\, and in our personal lives\, tackle activities that have us looking deeper into our interests\, and end the session by having 1 to 3 goals that we want to work on in the short term. By participating in the training\, participants will understand what a SMART goal is and be better equipped at breaking down vague or broad goals into smaller (more specific) goals that they can achieve.

SUMMARY:Independence Through Resilience – Reasonable Accommodations: What are They and How to Get Them? Part II
DESCRIPTION:Participants will build off the previous lesson on reasonable accommodations by getting the opportunity to test in real time low-to-mid tech options they can use in the community and on a worksite. We’ll test our understanding of accommodations by matching a potential accommodation to a specific task or barrier and will complete the training by drafting our own individual Accommodations List that can be provided to loved ones\, VR counselors\, and employers. By participating in this training\, participants will have hands-on experience with using various accommodations and will have practical resources they can take with them into their day to day lives. \n
